IN HARMONY WITH THE LAND, THE GAME AND THE PEOPLE
More than 35 years of experience have taught us that to achieve enduring success with the land and the game requires that we reach out to players, owners, management and others. By engaging their drive and passion, we fuel our own creative energies in order to design a golf course that respects the past and embraces the future.
To accomplish this goal, our practice, indeed our process, is to be inclusive and leverage the pride and sense of ownership of all parties. We know success requires more than a great design, it also requires great support from a dedicated team.
The foundation of the Weibring-Wolfard process is that dedicated team. We start by listening to the client and asking them questions, and then we do our research. We embrace the history of the course and the client in order to protect what is good, and we remain adaptable in order to seize opportunities as they arise. But mostly, we reach out to the golf pro, superintendent, club members, guests and owners/developers to build a comprehensive knowledge of the project. After all, it is their home and we are guests.
Building a consensus through understanding is the goal, and it is an intricate part of the Weibring-Wolfard process and success.
